MOORE — Join the library’s Super Hero Squad Party in Moore

It’s going to be a day filled with heroes and heroines as the Moore Public Library hosts its annual Super Hero Squad Party, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, in Rooms A and B of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

Children are invited to dress in costume as their favorite super hero and come take part in a day of crafts, activities and other super hero surprises.

Children up to elementary school age are invited and everything is offered free of charge but space fills up quickly, so registration is required in advance to attend.

SOKC library offers computer basics for seniors class

The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library gives seniors an introduction to Computer Basics in a setting just for them, at 10 a.m. Feb. 18, in the Computer Training Center of the library, 2201 SW 134th St.

The class gives a general introduction to the world of computers and specific practice in using a mouse to get around.

Registration is required in advance to attend.

Get ready for gardening season with SOKC series

The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library will get gardeners started right this season with a series of programs, starting with “Pruning With Julia,” at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18, in Room B of the library, 2201 SW 134th St.

The program gives advice and tips from local Master Gardeners and focuses on pruning of trees and shrubs, as well as plans for recovery of damage caused by ice, storms or wind. Space for the program is limited, so registration is required in advance to attend.

SOKC to host monthly sensory skills program for children

The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library has something for children’s senses at its TLC (Touch, Learn and Create) program, which next gets together at 10 a.m. Feb. 19, in Rooms A and B of the library, 2201 SW 134th St.

Children ages 2-6 are invited to explore their senses with a variety of sensory crafts and activities. The theme for this month’s activities is snow.

Registration is not required to attend.
