Library presents Facebook for Beginners

MOORE — The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library brings the world of social media to light with the class “Facebook for Beginners,” 11 a.m. Saturday in the Computer Training Center of the library, 2201 SW 134th St.

The class will show the basics of the world’s most used social media website.

Class attendees must have their own email address and password.

 Computer classes

Computer users can sharpen skills with a pair of free computer classes.

Classes take place in the Computer Training Center of the library. They are free, but registration is required.

Classes are Email Basics at 10 a.m. Tuesday andComputer Basics at 10 a.m. April 30.

Earth Day event

The library invites the community to an Earth Day Celebration 10 a.m. April 20.

Events include:

· 10-11 a.m. — Family Seed Starting, a workshop on seed starting for a new garden

· 11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Children’s Come and Go Crafts, with recycling projects to make bird feeders from plastic bottles and flower pots from cans.

· 1-3 p.m. — Movie showing, feature is based on the Dr. Seuss book “The Lorax.”
