MOORE — Anika Nahar of Oklahoma City presented her speech on the U.S. Constitution to the American Legion District 5B officers and the members of Norman American Legion Post 88 at the Post 88 February regular meeting held recently.

She went on to compete at Duncan as the District 5B winner in the Oklahoma Department’s state finals. Nahar is a junior at Westmoore High School and is sponsored by Moore Post 184.

As District 5B’s representative, Nahar won the Walter Knoepli Memorial prize of $250, contributed by Post 88, as well as a $50 prize from Post 184. Walter Knoepli was the longtime chair of Post 88’s Oratorical Contest.
