There were 16 veterans who filed their first claim for VA benefits. If you served in the military and have not filed a claim for benefits, stop by and visit with one of the volunteers. Most everyone will be eligible to receive some type of benefit.
Jerry Baxter continues to keep us in the black with the benevolence fund monies that we use to assist those veterans and surviving spouses in the community. We were able to help one of these ladies prepare for winter by filling her propane tank that is used to heat her home. We are a 501(C )(3) non-profit where your donations are tax deductible.We accept automobiles, handicap equipment and other items that can be given to veterans, surviving spouses or sold to raise funds to support our mission.

For all of your questions and assistance about Veterans benefits, we are at the Goldsby Community Center each Thursday. The doors open at 7 a.m. and sign-in sheets are available at 5:30 a.m.
