MOORE — BancFirst has entered into a multi-year endorsement partnership with Oklahoma City Thunder point guard, Russell Westbrook. Early in December, Westbrook filmed a commercial for BancFirst, which included 48 children representing BancFirst communities.

Five Moore students were chosen to participate in the commercial. James and Jasmine Baker represented Del City and Thackerville, respectively; Calvin Byrd represented Duncan; Kennethen Khamnguon represented Oklahoma City; and Zoe Kloiber represented Moore.

Each child received a BancFirst jersey with the name of a BancFirst community on the front and back and matching shorts. The jerseys and shorts were provided for the commercial by Nike, a company with which Westbrook is partnered. Westbrook played the coach of the BancFirst team with each child playing a team member.

The six-hour filming session took place at the Capital Hill High School gym.

“We were thrilled that Moore students were able to represent five communities in the commercial with Russell,” said BancFirst Senior Vice President and Marketing Director Diane Joy-Sisemore. “It was a long day of production, but the kids had great fun on the set with the film crew.

“Working with a role model like Russell is something they will remember for a long time,” Joy-Sisemore said. “We are all showing Russell our support and thanks by encouraging everyone to vote everyday for Russell Westbrook for the NBA All-Star team. Log-on and vote at”

Westbrook finished last season as a rising star for the Thunder and won a gold medal this summer representing the USA in the FIBA World Championships.

He is looking forward to helping the Thunder make a deep run in the playoffs this season.

“Over the past two years, Oklahoma City has become my home and it makes me very excited to partner with a company that is such a big part of the Oklahoma community,” Westbrook said. “I enjoyed meeting the kids of the BancFirst family. It was great to get to know the local youth from around the state.”

At the end of the commercial shoot, Westbrook signed autographs and took pictures with the children. The commercial will begin airing in mid-January.

Exchange National Bank of Moore was purchased by BancFirst in 2010 and will change its name later this year.
