MOORE — The Thunderbird Girl Scout Service Unit of Norman is inviting sister Girl Scouts from Moore to join them for a Daddy-Daughter Dance from 4 to 6 p.m. July 20 at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church, 1801 W. Brooks St., in Norman.

As an outreach to girls in the tornado-damaged area of Moore, the service unit is offering free admission to Moore Girl Scouts and their fathers. For Girl Scouts in Norman’s Thunderbird Service Unit, the cost is $5 per girl. Admission includes light refreshments and a keepsake photo. Dress can be casual or formal.

“The Daddy-Daughter Dance is a chance to allow fathers or father figures the opportunity to set an example of how their daughter should be treated on a date,” Service Unit chair Miranda Seal said. “It is an opportunity to help build a relationship between fathers and daughters and to make special memories. Girls love to dance the Macarena, the Chicken Dance, the Twist or just dance in Daddy’s arms.”

Deadline for registration is Friday. For information and to register, call Sheryl McDonald at 872-8957.
