Rotary Club wins Attendance Award



The Moore Rotary Club and the Norman Sooner Rotary Club were honored with attendance awards recently.

Moore Rotarians won the small club category attendance award with 84.7 percent while the Norman Sooner Club, a Tuesday breakfast club, received the top attendance award in the large club category with 92 percent.

Several area residents were honored with 50-year Rotary membership awards. They include Don Frensley, Don Adkins of Norman and Bill Williams of Purcell.

In addition, Adkins received the Cliff Dochterman Community Service Award from the International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians.

Roy Troutt of Norman was honored for 58 years of perfect attendance.

The honor came at the District Conference presided over by Mary Sherman, Rotary District 5770 Governor.
