MOORE — Someone said that “The character of a nation can be measured by the way they treat their veterans.”
The Oklahoma Society Daughters of the American Revolution want to help Oklahoma veterans have a better life.
State Regent Pat McFall has made it her mission to establish an endowment known as the Veteran’s First Fund to help with the many needs of veterans that are often overlooked.
There are over 6800 veterans that are annually referred to the Veterans Affairs of Voluntary Service, at the Oklahoma City and Muskogee V A Medical Centers.
These funds will assist Oklahoma veterans with services and goods for our women veterans, short term sponsorship for homeless veterans, mental health and brain injury rehabilitation support, items such as toiletries, clothing and food vouchers and grants for veterans transitioning back into the work force.
The Malcolm Hunter Chapter and Regent Ruth Johnson, in supporting this worthy cause.
