Military briefs

MOORE — Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Tracy D. Barnhill graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Barnhill is the daughter of Cherry Bina of Moore, and Jim Bina of Woodbridge, Va.

She is a 1997 graduate of Moore High School. She received an associate degree in 2010 from Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Carlton E. Meanweather graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Meanweather is the son of Lynn and Carlton Meanweather Sr. of Converse, Texas.

He is a 2010 graduate of Southmoore High School.

Air Force Airman Meliza E. Peavler graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Peavler is the daughter of Maricris Peavler of Moore.

She is a 2009 graduate of Moore High School.

Army 1st Lt. Richard A. Harpham has returned to the U.S. after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Harpham is an intelligence officer assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has served in the military for two years.

He is the son of Richard and Mari Harpham of Moore. His wife, Amanda, is the daughter of Don and Debbie Yarbrough of Oklahoma City.

The first lieutenant is a 2005 graduate of Westmoore High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in 2010 from Texas A&M, College Station.

Army Reserve Spec. Amber M. Makowicz has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Makowicz is the daughter of Karla Makowicz of Oklahoma City.

She is a 2003 graduate of Moore High School.
