MOORE — A Moore woman was charged with child abuse by injury Sept. 30 after two female victims, ages 6 and 8, described the abuse during a forensic interview.
Tiffany Marie Crawford, 30, provided testimony consistent with each of the juvenile victims’ statements in an interview with police, but denied whipping them with an extension cord, according to an affidavit filed with the charge.
During the forensic interview the 6-year-old victim reported Crawford scratched her face during one of the “whoopings,” later treating it with Vitamin E ointment. Another incident involved a cord from a fan which caused injuries to her back, the affidavit said.
The 8-year-old also told forensic interviewers about the “whoopings” Crawford gave the two girls. She said there were rules including not being able to watch each other get a “whooping”, some of which involved being naked and having to put their head in a pillow or the sheets so they could not see what Crawford was using to “whoop” them, the affidavit said.
