Event raises funds for PTSA

MOORE — The Soutmoore High School PTSA sponsored its second Annual Craft Show in the Southmoore High Commons area on Saturday, Nov. 17th.

Proceeds were generated by vendor booth rental and $1 raffle tickets sold at the Craft Show.

Raffle ticket winners got to choose from various products donated by the vendors.

“We have 59 vendors participating today,” Chi Dinh, PTSA volunteer said Saturday. “Our proceeds go to support activities like Teacher Appreciation Week, the Senior and Freshman Picnics, and Senior Scholarships.”

This year, Southmoore PTSA plans to give away eight $500 scholarships to Southmoore seniors.

Any senior who is a member of PTSA can enter their name into the scholarship drawing.

PTSA memberships are $5.

Vendors at the craft show ranged from homemade goods, clothing, decor and health products.

Kendra Thiel, Moore resident, MPS teacher, and Independent Creative Partner, was there selling her Initials Inc. products.

“Initials Inc. has great bags and the monogramming is included in the price,” Thiel said.

Also participating as a vendor was Allyson Weatherford of Moore.

She started her jewelry business about a year ago and, in addition to her booth at Saturday’s craft show, also has her products available for sale by consignment at Artworks Bead Studio on Main Street in Moore.
