MOORE — Carl D. Britton Jr. is the founder and president of In Their Face Marketing, an online marketing firm, and the author of the book “Facebook for Independent Pharmacy.” Britton made his candidacy for Moore City Council Ward 1 official last week at the Cleveland County Election Board. He and his wife are two-year residents of Moore with intentions on staying.

“My wife and I spent a lot of time deciding where we wanted to purchase a home to start our family. The friendly people, growing business climate and top ranked school system made our decision easy, Moore is the place for us,” he said.

Britton outlines a few of his top priorities on his website but has one major issue he’d like to work on that is affecting not only Moore, but the entire state.

“We are in need of a strategic plan for our water supply and water consumption here in Moore,” he said. “Oklahoma City supplies us with over half of our water but we need alternative water resources. Planning is key, if the drought does not let up in the next year or two, we will be in a severe water crisis.”

Water isn’t the only thing on Britton’s agenda. He also is concerned about the school system keeping up with the rapid growth and he wants to work on generating a better environment for small business on the east side of Moore.

“The west side of Moore is an exciting place. It is full of options for entertainment, shopping, dining, etc. I would like to see a professional office complex and other attractions on the east side to help remind people that the east side of Moore has a lot to offer,” he said.

Britton graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma and worked as a banker for almost 10 years before starting his marketing firm. He is an advocate of community involvement and is a regular volunteer for Junior Achievement. He also is a proud member of the Moore Chamber of Commerce.
