A program, designed to provide a free breakfast and lunch for anyone 18-years-old or younger, has been established in Moore, officials with Moore Public schools announced this week.

The program — approved by the State Department of Education’s Child Nutrition Division — offers a free breakfast or lunch to children up to the age of 18, Monday through Friday.

School officials said they were pleased to be able to offer the program.

“This is the fist year for the program in Moore and we believe it will provide quality meals for those who qualify,” said Pam Hart, director of the Moore school’s child nutrition program. “The nice part of this program is there are no applications to fill out.”

Breakfast and lunch will be served at Kelley Elementary School, 1900 N. Janeway Ave., beginning June 2.

The program ends June 26.

Hart said the meal schedule is:

• Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

• Lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
