James E. “Jim” Mayeaux, 78, passed away April 25, 2015. Jim was born Jan. 18, 1937 to Audrey and E.A. Mayeaux in Alexandria, La. After serving his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force, he settled in Oklahoma, where he met his wife, Bobbie. Jim and Bobbie were married 48 years.
Margaret Ann Carlile, daughter of Dr. Tom and Glenda Carlile, was born and lived her entire life in Oklahoma City. Margaret graduated from Southeast High School and worked at McDonalds for over 20 years, receiving the Governor’s Commendation for outstanding achievement in employment in 2009. She was known and appreciated by fellow employees and customers alike.
Britt Nolan Hoss, of Moore, went to be with our Lord and Savior in heaven on Saturday morning, April 11, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer. He died peacefully in his home with his wife, children, grandchild and father by his side. Britt touched many lives with his gentle spirit and positive outlook on life.
Larry “Jacob” Johnson, of Moore, passed away April 8, 2015, at the age of 26. He was born Nov. 17, 1988, in Oklahoma City. When Jacob was growing up, he enjoyed playing baseball and football. He loved that his Uncle Billy coached him. Jacob had a love of animals and he will always be remembered by his happy-go-lucky smile and attitude.
Thomas “Tom” Michael Boyett, 56, died March 12, 2015, at Methodist Hospital, Houston, of vascular complications. He was receiving treatment for several years for vascular disease and died peacefully in his sleep. He leaves his son, Thomas Michael Boyett II, of Moore, and his mother, Retha M. Hill of Trinity, Texas.
Charlotte Michele Wolf Queen, 66, of Moore, died on March 2, 2015, at Integris Hospice House from cancer. Shelly was born on Aug. 20, 1948, to Felix Gregory and Martha Florence Wolf of Oklahoma City. Known to her siblings as ‘Boo,’ she was the youngest of seven children. Shelly grew up in Oklahoma City with siblings Theresa, Bob, Annette, Janet, Richard and Sharon.
Kathleen Marie Baker, born in Ponca City, had resided in Moore some 30 years. In her Christian faith, she was a very encouraging member of The Fortieth Street Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, where her husband, Larry Baker, is pastor — a wonderful pastor’s wife. She loved people, as a people-person, and loved to converse — something very endearing to her family. She loved music and singing, as did her church love to hear her sing.
Marcus Bertone was born Osvaldo Santos Bertone on Oct. 24, 1947, in Cordoba, Argentina, to Cleonece and Osvaldo Bertone. He passed away in his Oklahoma City home Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Harry George Mendros, M.D., passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, two days after celebrating his 80th birthday, surrounded by his family. He touched many lives through his work as a psychiatrist, spending the past 12 years working for the State Department of Corrections.
Marsha Lee Hansen, of Moore, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015. Memorial services were Jan. 23 at First United Methodist Church in Moore. Mrs. Hansen was born July 4, 1941, at Borger, Texas, to Herman Richard and Bessie Madeline Moss Bruns. She married William Frank Hansen on Oct. 5, 1963, at Borger, Texas.
Carolyn Lucille Challis was born Dec. 14, 1943, in Concho, to Dewight Kishketon and Bertha 'Whitewater' Kishketon. She went to be with her Heavenly Father Dec. 25, 2014, from her home in Moore, at the age of 71.
James Lee Clark, of Moore, went peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Dec. 25, 2014, with his devoted wife and loving family by his side. James was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Tishomingo, to George Emerson and Jesse Lee (Clifton) Clark.
Rumell LeCrone, 84, of Purcell, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014. Cleta Rumell Holsonbake was born April 23, 1930, in Corbett, the fourth of 12 children, to L. D. Holsonbake and Jewell Estell (May) Holsonbake. She was raised in the Corbett and Lexington area and attended Lexington schools.
Jason Michael Webster, 40, lost his courageous 18-month battle with Melanoma on Sunday evening, Dec. 7, 2014. He was born on May 12, 1974, in Rochester, Minn., the eldest of two children, to Robert “Bob” & Karin Webster.
Larry Richard Baker, 66, of Moore, passed away Dec. 15, 2014. He was born July 28, 1948 to Lester and Mary Baker in Oklahoma City. Larry liked to go hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially his grandchildren and OU football. 14 years ago Larry was given a second chance at life when he underwent a liver transplant.
Rayburn Henry Brown, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec.14, 2014. Ray was born on Aug. 12, 1939 in Bokchito to Harrison and Faye Brown. Ray was a retired school teacher, having taught at Moore, Kingspark, and Eastern Ave. Christian Academies. He was also a retired aircraft mechanic from TAFB. Ray served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War time. He loved to hunt, fish, do leather work and make knives. He was an active member of Beth Haven Baptist Church.
Martha Ellen Stoker, 89, of Moore, passed away Dec. 14, 2014. She was born Nov. 14, 1925. Martha enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, crocheting, quilting and working crossword puzzles. In addition, she enjoyed baking and cooking. Her husband, J.D., nicknamed her “Mug.”
Oleta “Leta” Spradlin, 74, of Moore, lost her battle to cancer after three years on Nov, 26, 2014. She was born on April 1, 1940, in Rising Star, Texas, where she also grew up, to Oscar and Agnes Maddux.
Samuel Lee Tiffany was born Aug. 11, 1952, in Sallisaw, to John and Emma Lou Tiffany, and grew up in Norman, graduating from Norman High School. He owned Sam Tiffany Construction for 20 years prior to returning to school, where he earned degrees in MIS and telecommunications technology. Sam was employed at Powercosts Incorporated.
