She was active in her community, owning and operating Curly Top Beauty Shop and later bookkeeping for Capitol Trailers. She loved using her computer to research genealogy, knitting for family and friends, and cooking for anyone who might be hungry. She was a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church in Norman until moving to Southwest Mansions in 2010. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and very special friend to the many that she touched in her 81 years.
