MOORE — Yvonne Latta, 75, died on Oct. 27, 2013, at her home in Moore. She was born on Oct. 19, 1938, in Shattuck, to Floyd and Ula Fields.

She grew up in a little sod house 12 miles north of Gage. She graduated from Gage High School in 1956. After high school, she attended two years of secretarial school at Capital Secretarial School in Oklahoma City.

Yvonne met Duane Latta while working in the Social Services Department at Fort Supply hospital in 1957. They married on April 6, 1958, in Woodward. She was a member of the Jaycee Jaynes, a member of the Theta Ki Sigma Alpha Epsilon Sorority in Moore and a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going on cruises, and her and Duane’s time at the lake house.
