MOORE — Billy Jack “B.J.” Kelley, Jr., age 30, of Moore, passed away June 15, 2014. He was born September 23, 1983, in Lawton, to Lora Mae (Henshaw) and Billy Jack Kelley, Sr.
B.J. enjoyed singing, preaching, playing t-ball and basketball. He had a big imagination and loved making up stories. B.J. was infatuated with beards, especially his Uncle Steve’s. He was always complimenting people. B.J. was very protective of his family, especially his Suzie. He loved music and was an avid OU football fan. He would only allow red and white hangers in his closet to hang up his clothes. B.J. was a very special young man who touched many lives and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
B.J. is survived by his parents, Lora Gaines & husband Joseph, of Moore; one sister, Charity Sandlin & husband, Jeremiah, of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Jonathan Kelley & wife, Ashlee, of Oklahoma City and Stephen Kelley, of Moore; grandparents Reverend Buford & Lillian Henshaw, of Moore; seven nephews; five nieces; two uncles, David Henshaw & wife, Veronica, of Oklahoma City, Billy Henshaw & wife, Sonya, of Moore; three aunts, Suzie Hornburger & husband, Randy, of Norman, Becky Clark & husband, Steve, of Blanchard and Lisa Eacret & husband, Randy, of Castle Rock, Colorado.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Jack Kelley, Sr.; grandmother Martha Kelley and uncle, Ronnie Henshaw.
Funeral Services for B.J. will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle, located at 910 SE Grand Blvd. in Oklahoma City, with his grandfather, Reverend Buford Henshaw, officiating. Interment to follow at Moore Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home of Moore.
