MOORE — The Rev. W.T. McFarland, 91, of Moore, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, July 12, 2013. W.T. was born on Dec. 19, 1921, in Rufe, to Steve and Elizabeth McFarland.
He pastored and ministered in churches in Oklahoma for more than 60 years. W.T. enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was a master craftsman who enjoyed working with his hands. He was a man whose love and faithfulness for his family was only surpassed by that of the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Eugenia McFarland; two brothers and six sisters.
W.T. is survived by his daughter, Margreete Waugh and husband Duane of Moore; son, Jimmie McFarland and wife Deborah of Choctaw; three grandsons, John, Matt and wife Tracey and Jared and wife Drina; three great-grandchildren, T.J., Victoria and Angel; one brother, J.C. McFarland of Sweet Home, Ore.; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel at 120 S. Broadway in Moore.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Lynlee Mae Chapel, 507 E. Main St. in Moore, with the District Superintendent Rev. H. Franklin Cargill officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore.
