MOORE — Services were hosted for Albert F. Ringwald on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Apostolic Worship Center in Norman. Interment was at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman.
Albert was born Jan. 20, 1941, in Perkins. He passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the age of 72.
Albert was the son of Leslie and Frances (Myrick) Ringwald. He attended and graduated from Ripley Public Schools in 1959. Albert married Mary Slavins on Dec. 4, 1959, in Stillwater.
Albert received his associate’s degree in 1989 in computer programming at Oklahoma City Community College. He worked for the motor field division at the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Albert enjoyed his job as a computer programmer. He taught basic computer skills at Calvary Christian Academy.
Albert was a very active member of the Apostolic Worship Center for more than 40 years. He enjoyed fishing and being on his computer. Albert loved his dog, Daisy. His first love was spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
Albert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary of the home in Norman; four sons, Albert Ringwald III of Shawnee, John Ringwald and wife Lana of Midwest City, Brian Ringwald and wife Janice of Moore and Michael Ringwald of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Bennie Slavins of Fort Worth, Texas, Bob Slavins and wife Leta of Oklahoma City, Troy Slavins of Blanchard, Dennis Slavins and wife Brenda of Purcell and Leroy Slavins of Guthrie and two sisters, Joyce Harding and husband John of Broadway, Va. and Mary Hardshorne and husband Bob of Lahoma.
Services were under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel in Moore.
