MOORE — Southmoore will be the lone area representative Saturday at the 2014 Dual 6A Team Wrestling Championships.

The SaberCats face highly touted Broken Arrow in the first round at noon at Yukon High. The winner will move to the semifinals at 2:15. The championship match is set for 6:30 p.m.

This is the first year dual state will be held on one day instead f split into two. It’s something Cats coach Gregory George likes since is team competes in competitions often where they will wrestle that many times in a single day.

This is the second consecutive year Southmoore has advanced to dual state. Last year they lost to eventual runner-up Muskogee by a single point. The Roughers wound up be disqualified a week later.

The matches will be live streamed at www.foxsportsoklahoma.com.

Swimming

The 2014 Regional swim meets will take place this weekend at the Edmond Schools Aquatic Center. Moore, Southmoore and Westmoore will compete for a spot at next week’s state championships, also at the Edmond Schools Aquatic Center.
