MOORE — Around the country, National signing day will take place today in high schools and homes in all 50 states. Teenagers from a variety of sports with sit down to sign National Letter of Intents to hopefully a college of their choosing.
Athletes from all three high schools in Moore are no different. Westmoore, Moore and Southmoore each have a long list of players who have earned the opportunity to be in this position to secure chance to go to college.
They include Moore’s Jenna Lynn and Caitlin Hall, who both will be signing with Oklahoma Baptist University to play softball. The Lions will also see Jordan Cleveland and Katelyn Williams sign with the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma for soccer. Moore is expecting nine kids to sign on the dotted line.
The Jaguars list included Hunter Aguirre, who will be attending Cowley College for baseball while Elle Stover will sign with Central Oklahoma for Soccer.
Southmoore has the largest group of seniors signing NLI’s today with 12. Micayla Payne is staying in Moore to play volleyball at Hillsdale while Jalen Adams will play football at north Texas University.
All three schools will host their own signing day events throughout the day. A complete list of players who signed NLI will be in next week’s American.
