Lynch leads MACU to split with Lady Rams

The fourth inning is when the Lady Rams broke through with five runs off of six hits to take a five-run lead.

The Lady Evangels answered with five of their own in the bottom of the inning when Natalie Bissell made sure to start the inning off right by getting a homerun to left field to bring the Lady Evangels within 6-2.

Carson Osborne then singled to right field and advanced on Callendar’s walk and Kenna Mccoy was able to get Osborne home on a single to left field. Callendar and Mccoy then scored on a wild throw, where Green reached on a walk. Hilterbran came through with another single to score Green to put the ball game tied 6-6.

The top of the eighth is when the Lady Rams scored two runs to take the lead 8-6 on RBI doubles by Amber Marlett and Ashley Seibel.

In the bottom of the eighth, Osborne started off with a single and advanced Katie Gracey to third from the international tie breaker. Gracey was able to score on Callendar’s hard hit ball to short stop, but the Lady Evangels came up one run short.
