MOORE — Dillion Thompson exploded for 28 points to lead Westmoore past Norman North 70-63 Friday at NNH.

North got 23 points out of freshman Marcus Dickinson, but it wasn’t enough for the Timberwolves.

The T-Wolves took a narrow lead into halftime, but the Jags have shown they are a second half team. They held north to just 32 percent in the second half  slowly pulled away.

Trey Ayala added 18 points and Tripp Fuller chipped in with 12 as Westmoore moved to 4-2 on the season. It will not play against until Dec. 27 in the Duncan Tournament.

North led 23-7 at the half but came out flat in the third quarter, allowing a 13-1 run from the Jaguars to begin the second half. Alexa Scott, just a freshman, stopped the run by stepping out to nail a 3-pointer and North closed the frame on a 6-2 run to lead 30-22. Westmoore was never any closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Victoria Lay led the Jaguars with eight points and five rebounds, all but one of the boards in the second half. Kaci Richardson added six points and five boards.

Westmoore fell to 2-4, while North improved to 4-1.
