No,. 8 SaBerCats take on No. 7 Wolves

US Grant is coming off a 18-12 loss to Oklahoma Centennial (3A). Moore will be favored to pick up its first win against the Generals, who have struggled with maintaining enough players to field a complete team in the past. But the Lions have been progressively getting better each week and took the No. 7 team in 6A to the brink.

The Jaguars first 6A-2 district game will take place Friday when they host Bixby at Moore Stadium. The Spartans beat Springdale High (Ark.) 22-7 last week to run its record to 2-1. They are tied with the Westmoore, Sapulpa and Putnam City atop of district 6A-2.

Westmoore linebacker Josh Morgan heads into district on the same pace he was last year when he led 6A in tackles. He’s averaging 13 tackles for a loss.

On the season Jags quarterback Jhames West has thrown for 353 yards on 23-of-46 passing.

Despite the added big plays in the passing game by Lexus Lee, the Jags are still pounding the rocks to the tune of 255 yards per game. Austin Richards, who has 313 yards on the ground, leads the charge. But West is right behind with 224 yards.
