manager top five
David Dozier was one of the five grand prize winners of $1,000 each in the Retail Produce Manger of the Year Awards Contest at United Fresh 2011 in New Orleans on May 4.
Dozier is produce department manager at the GFF Foods store in Moore. He is a 20-year veteran with the GFF Foods organization and has worked in the grocery industry since age 15.
In recent years Dozier has won many grand prizes and first place awards in various produce display contests he has entered and has been cited in many publications in 2010 including: “Progressive Grocer,” “The Produce News,” and The Shelby Report of the Southwest.
His displays have been featured on websites such as www.BIGONIONS.com and www.idahopotato.comretail.
“He keeps our produce department the freshest looking in town,” Charlie Bert, GFF Foods president and general manager, said.
Moore resident Jane McWatters was recently promoted to assistant vice president at Oklahoma’s top Great Place to Work according to Fortune magazine. American Fidelity Assurance recently developed a succession plan and promoted 16 employees to executive leadership positions.
Homemade national director
Debbie Jensen of Homemade Gourmet has been promoted to national director. Jensen is only the fourth person in company history to reach the national director level. She has been in the Top 10 in sponsoring new consultants for seven years, including four years as the number one sponsor. Jensen has been selling Homemade Gourmet with her husband, Scott, since 2003 and has earned every incentive trip since they attended their first national convention that year.
“The strong desire to achieve the goals I have allows me to realize my dreams,” Debbie Jensen said.
