Cleveland County CASA, serving Cleveland, McClain and Garvin counties, is in need of volunteer child advocates to speak up for the interest of abused and neglected children in the community.
Although there are more than a hundred children being served, there also are more than 200 who are on the waiting list.
A CASA volunteer provides a voice in court, someone to urge the system to work harder to find them safe, permanent and loving homes without delay.
The next training session available begins Aug. 31 in Norman. The training is open to the public and free of charge but registration is suggested.
For information or to volunteer, call 360-5295 or visit www.clevelandcountycasa.org.
