“Hearts and Hands Together, We Can Make a Difference” was the state theme of the Oklahoma Society Daughters of the American Revolution was the focus of the Helping Hands state workshop Aug. 18 through 20 at the Holiday Inn in Norman.

Members attended forums on various topics to help gain a better understanding of DAR. There was a Put Your Hands Together working breakfast where members helped sign cards of support for veterans and active duty military as well as a Lend a Hand luncheon at which attendees brought donations of canned goods for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

Special guests welcomed by Oklahoma State Regent Diane Brannum Hamill of Ardmore were Jean Dixon Mann, organizing secretary general; Patricia Eddy Carpenter, registrar general; Stephanie Hill Troth, state regent of Arizona and Diane Argraves, state regent of New Jersey.
