Early voting will begin Thursday, Feb. 4, at the Cleveland County Election Board Office, 641 E. Robinson, Norman for next Tuesday’s Annual School Election and City of Moore Primary. Eligible voters who want to vote can do so in person at the Election Board office on Thursday, Feb. 4, or Friday, Feb. 5, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Voting Board personnel will be on duty each day to assist voters.
No reason is required to vote early.
“They are required to swear that they have not voted a regular mail absentee ballot and they will not vote at their polling place on Election Day,” said Cleveland County Election Board Secretary Bryant Rains. “It is very much like voting at a precinct polling place.”
According to Rains, the voter’s registration information is verified and the voter marks the ballots in a voting booth and then casts them in the voting device. For more information, contact the Cleveland County Election Board at 366-0210.
