The Moore Public Library and the American Red Cross are teaming up for a special informational event for children, “Disaster Preparedness 4 Kids,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, in Room A of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

The program is for students in third through sixth grades, and will give tips for staying safe and calm during an emergency situation.

Participants in the program will each receive beginning items for putting together their own disaster preparedness kit.

Registration in advance is required, and the program is limited to the first 30 to sign up so enough materials are on hand for the kits.

For more information, or to register, visit the library, call 793-5100 or go online to www.pioneerlibrarysystem.org/moore.
