Aging Services Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of a new senior nutrition congregate meal site in south Oklahoma City.
Aging Services Inc. will provide a noon meal to area senior adults at the Eastlake Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 700 SW 134th St., Oklahoma City.
In his opening remarks, Pastor Leslie Johnson said that Eastlake Cumberland Presbyterian Church is looking forward to the new partnership with Aging Services. This sentiment was echoed by the senior adult participants who were present that day.
Both Aging Services Inc. and Eastlake Cumberland Presbyterian Church look forward to the opportunity to grow together, Johnson said.
The lunch meal is provided 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. To be eligible for the meal, area residents must at be least 60 years of age. Reservations need to be made before noon the day before.
To make a reservation to join the group for lunch, call 691-0339. Meals are provided on a donation basis, with the suggested donation of $2 per meal. However, no one will be denied a meal if they are unable to donate.
A portion of the project costs for the Aging Services Inc. Congregate Meal Program is met by state and federal Older American Act funds granted by the Areawide Aging Agency Inc. of Central Oklahoma and the OKDHS Aging Services Division.
