Spinning Your Wheels Moore 2011

Spinning Your Wheels Moore 2011 will begin at 5:30 p.m. May 20 at Moore City Hall. The route is 5.2 miles. This is a free event open to bike riders of all ages. To get information or register for the event, contact Kevin Walker at 793-5053 or kevinw@cityofmoore. com.

Farmers Market

Vendors are needed for the 2011 Farmers Market which will be held in the Moore Community Center, 301 S. Howard Ave., parking lot.

The market will be open from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 26 to Sept. 1.

Santa Express golf tournament

Moore firefighter’s Santa Express second annual charity golf tournament will be 9 a.m. May 23 at Moore Athletic Golf Club, 920 SW 19th St. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Cost is $65 per player, $260 per team for the four man scramble.

Lunch will be served after the tournament.

Chamber golf tournament

The Moore Chamber of Commerce annual golf tournament is May 24 at Belmar Golf Club.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Frontier State Bank will sponsor the 11 a.m. lunch. Shot gun start is at noon.

Team entry fee includes lunch, range balls, two mulligans per player and appetizers at the 19th Hole. Four-person team entry is $550. Hole sponsorships are $150.

Daddy Daughter Dance

The Moore Community Center, 301 S Howard, will play host to a Father’s Day weekend, Daddy Daughter Dance at 6:30 p.m. on June 17. Dress is summer casual, with an Island Luau theme.

Tickets can be purchased at Moore City Hall and the Moore Community Center and also at the door. Photos and gifts will be available for purchase at the event.

Tickets are $10 for dad and daughter and $5 for each additional daughter.  

Stepping Out to Cure

Scleroderma

A walk to promote awareness to scleroderma will be 8 a.m. June 4 at Little River Park, 700 SW Fourth St. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.

Cost is $20 in advance, $25 the day of the walk. T-shirst will be given to the first 200 walkers signed up.
