A Moore man was charged last week with domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after allegedly stabbing a woman Oct. 28.

Jacob Daniel Tabor, 20, stabbed the victim in his living room where the two resided in Moore, according to the affidavit filed with the charge.

After Tabor stabbed the victim, he also sat on the victim, not allowing her to leave, the affidavit said. Tabor then contacted a family member for a ride to the hospital and, after about 25 minutes, called 911 and left the residence, the document said.

The alleged abuse escalated to the stabbing after Tabor had gotten home and the victim had been inquiring about Tabor’s whereabouts which resulted in verbally arguing for 45 minutes, the affidavit said.

The verbal argument led to Tabor striking the victim with a closed fist. The victim then locked herself into the bathroom. Tabor forced his way in and struck the victim’s torso several times, the affidavit said.

The victim then went to the living room, at which point the stabbing occurred, according to the document.
