Moore’s Got Talent and now is the time to show everyone what those talents are.
A talent show will be Oct. 8 at the First Baptist Church. All proceeds will go to Backpack for Kids program at the Regional Food Bank.
Those wishing to participate can fill out an application at Broadway Florist, 328 N. Broadway Ave., and pay a $25 application fee. Make checks payable to the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank.
All those who enter will receive a free Whataburger. The top 100 place winners will receive a Whataburger pack.
Auditions will begin July 2 at the Boomerang Diner, 1305 N. Broadway Ave.
“All auditions are by appointment only,” Sheri Johnson, owner of Broadway Florist, said.
Anyone with a talent of any kind is invited to audition.
“Whatever talent they have, as long as it is family friendly, are invited,” Johnson said. “There is no restriction on age or where they live.”
Three judges will pick the final 10, Johnson said, and the audience will pick the top three winners.
First prize will receive $500 and a trophy. Cash prizes will be awarded to second and third place winners.
In September, 2010, Johnson raised more than $10,000 for the Backpack for Kids Program with a fashion show.
