As of Monday, Moore Public Schools has reported 147 total COVID-19 cases since school began in August, according to a district spokesperson.
The district released its COVID-19 numbers on Thursday, which included a breakdown of confirmed cases at elementary and secondary schools. According to the data, 56 of the district’s cases have been at elementary schools (grades pre-K through six), while 89 of the cases have been at secondary schools. Two of the cases are listed as “other.”
The district reported 110 of the district’s 147 cumulative cases as recovered, according to the district. The data did not specify how many cases had been confirmed in students or staff.
According to the data, the district had 89 confirmed cases in students and staff between Aug. 13 and Sept. 17. The district reported 38 new cases between Sept. 21 and Sept. 28.
Last week, the district quarantined around 200 students and staff at Westmoore High School due to exposure to COVID-19. A request for an update on cases and quarantines at Westmoore was not immediately returned by the district.
As of Thursday, the City of Moore reported 1,088 cumulative COVID-19 cases, including 13 deaths and 905 recoveries. Moore Norman Technology Center had four active cases of COVID-19 as of last week.
