With the retirement of Transcript editorial board member Vonnie Clark, the board is now accepting applications from community members interested in joining the editorial board.
The Transcript editorial board is made of up Transcript employees and community members who determine the focus and content of local editorials that are printed on the opinion page on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The editorials reflect the opinion of the editorial board, not the opinion of newsroom employees or other Transcript employees. The goal of the editorial board is to provide insightful and informed commentary on issues that impact Transcript readers.
Individuals who are interested in becoming a member of the editorial board can send an email to editor Caleb Slinkard at email@example.com that includes their reasons for wanting to join, their current community involvement and their résumé. The editorial board meets at 3 p.m. every Tuesday at the Transcript office in downtown Norman. Applications will be considered by current editorial board members. The board is looking for individuals with a knowledge of local events, Norman history and passion for serving the local community.
Currently, the board is comprised of Transcript editor Mark Millsap, editor Caleb Slinkard and community members Shavonne Evans and Regina Stewart.
