Kansas football landed one of Moore's premier playmakers over the weekend.

Moore senior Daniel Hishaw followed a recent trip to Lawrence, Kansas, by announcing his commitment to the Jayhawks on Sunday.

Hishaw is fresh off of a stellar junior season as the Lions' quarterback. He recorded over 2,500 yards of offenses and 29 touchdowns.

Moore uses the versatile athlete on defense as well.

"He's our leader on offense," Moore coach Brad Hill said earlier this summer. "He also flips over and plays safety on defense. He's a special player, there's no doubt about it.

"He's a big kid, runs well. He's very physical. He's a good football player, and he's going to have to lead us this year."

Hishaw, who will try to guide the Lions back to the postseason in 2019, chose Kansas over other FBS options.

The Moore product held offers from Eastern Michigan, Nevada, North Texas, Southern Miss and Texas State, among others.

The 5-foot-11 athlete gives Kansas its 22nd commitment of its 2019 class.
