Moore High School football coach Paul Hix resigned from his position at Moore Public Schools last week, MHS Athletic Director Chad Mashburn confirmed Monday afternoon.
Hix went 1-19 in his first two seasons, but enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2016 with the Lions, going 5-5. Moore had finished with a losing record the previous seven seasons.
Hix would not comment on his resignation at this time. His departure comes after a video surfaced on social media showing two female students fighting in a classroom. A student aware of situation said that it was the reason for Hix's resignation, as he left the class unattended. The incident occurred the week before winter break.
Mashburn did not yet have a comment on the video.
